Regional Payroll and HR Operations Specialist (1-Year Contract)

What to Expect:
As a key member of our HR Core team, you will:
Payroll Operations:
- Support payroll processes across multiple APAC countries, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, and Australia (training provided).
- Maintain accurate payroll data, including salary changes, one-time payments, and reimbursements.
- Handle annual tax filings and pension-related matters for APAC countries.
- Collaborate closely with payroll vendors, providing clear instructions and updates to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Reconcile, review, and validate payroll data, manage fund requests, and ensure on-time salary payments.
Employee Support:
- Advise regional employees and managers on payroll, benefits, and HR policy matters professionally and effectively.
- Facilitate onboarding activities, prepare employee correspondence, and address inquiries regarding benefits and HR policies.
- Manage offboarding processes, ensuring employer and employee tax responsibilities are met.
HR Operational Support:
- Assist HR departments with tasks such as insurance enrollment, HRIS updates, and other operational activities.
Contract Duration:
- This role is a short-term contract position for 1 year.
What Will Make You Successful:
- A university degree in HR, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably with hands-on exposure to regional payroll operations.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English for effective collaboration with regional teams.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations across APAC countries.
- Experience with HRIS platforms like Workday is an advantage.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
