Responsibilities:

  • Update daily bank balances and cash flow reports to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Prepare payment vouchers for operational and supplier payments promptly.
  • Monitor and reconcile supplier statements to maintain good vendor relationships and ensure timely payments.
  • Perform credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure smooth processing.
  • Maintain and update audit schedules and listings in accordance with retail operational requirements and compliance standards.
  • Assist in handling ad-hoc financial tasks and reports assigned by the superior, ensuring alignment with the dynamic needs of the retail environment.

Requirements:

1. Education and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are an added advantage.

2. Experience:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Familiarity with supplier reconciliation, payment processing, and audit preparation.

3. Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
  • Knowledge of retail industry-specific financial processes, such as inventory cost reconciliation, is a plus.

4. Key Competencies:

  • Attention to detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Time management skills: Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies effectively.

5. Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, colleagues, and auditors.
  • Team-oriented mindset while maintaining the ability to work independently.
  • Adaptability to handle ad-hoc tasks and dynamic retail operations.

6. Other Requirements:

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and basic taxation laws (preferably relevant to the retail sector).
  • Ability to handle high volumes of transactions typical in retail environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
