Client & Project Overview:
We are seeking a Cloud Support Team Lead to join our dynamic team supporting the Google Workspace Support project for our client. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, optimizing cloud computational resources to meet evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain cloud security solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure cloud deployments, focusing on authentication, authorization, and data protection.
Troubleshoot and resolve security-related incidents, providing customer-facing root cause analysis and actionable recommendations.
Utilize existing troubleshooting tools to identify security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and unauthorized access attempts.
Work closely with clients to understand their security requirements and provide solutions within specific product constraints.
Reactively file issue reports to Level 3 support, document procedures, and provide step-by-step reproductions and recommendations for security-related product bugs.
Conduct security risk assessments, internal classification queries, and document preventative actions for future mitigation.
Take ownership of customer-specific security design requests, providing solutions related to authentication, authorization models, and infrastructure security.
Perform community support tasks, contributing to security knowledge-sharing and awareness across the organization.
Support the adoption of security automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science preferred) with 8+ years of experience in cloud security roles.
Professional certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Security Engineer are a major plus.
Experience in handling security incidents and working in cloud security operations.
Technical Skills:
Operating Systems:
Linux/Unix command-line – Intermediate.
APIs & Web Technologies:
REST API fundamentals – Intermediate.
Web technologies (HTTPS, gRPC, OAuth Token, API Keys, HTTP Headers, Query Params, Postman) – Intermediate.
Cloud Security Practices:
General cloud security best practices – Intermediate.
Cybersecurity risk identification and mitigation – Intermediate.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, CloudFormation) – Basic.
Authentication technologies (OAuth, SSO, Token-based authentication) – Basic.
Authorization models (RBAC, ABAC) – Basic.
Security Tools & Technologies:
Identity and Access Management (IAM) – Basic.
Security monitoring and logging tools (SIEM, CloudWatch, Security Command Center).
Preferred Experience:
Experience with cloud provider security tools such as AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud IAM.
Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
Hands-on experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) in cloud environments.
Understanding of container security for Kubernetes and Docker.
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automating security tasks.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide thought leadership and technical guidance on emerging cloud security threats and mitigations.
Conduct internal and external training sessions on cloud security awareness and best practices.
Engage with stakeholders to continuously improve cloud security postures.
Stay updated with evolving cloud security trends and compliance requirements.
