The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the Group's financial transactions, ensuring accurate recording, timely collection of payments, and prompt payment of obligations. This role is crucial for maintaining cash flow, minimizing bad debts, and safeguarding the company's financial health.

Job Duties/ Description:

Accounts Receivable:

  • Ensure timely issuance of invoices and credit notes with accurate coding for approval as per the Group’s process
  • Timely matching and recording of receipts
  • Resolving account discrepancies such as unallocated/unidentified receipts and invoice issuance according to the agreed timelines
  • Efficient collection of outstanding receivables with less than 5% of receivables over 90 days past due
  • Timely preparation of SST and GST for submission

Accounts Payable:

  • Process vendors’ invoices and employees’ claims in a timely manner targeted for accuracy and zero late fees or penalty
  • Perform payment clearing (including Giro Deduction) and weekly projection cashflow
  • Prepare vendor reconciliation to ensure completeness of liabilities recorded

General:

  • Ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times
  • Participate in any compliance audits and respond to audit queries (for both internal and external) with zero compliance violations in audits related to accounts receivables and payables processes
  • Timely escalation of all unsolved/ unclear issues to the senior/ immediate superior
  • Identify and develop process improvement plans where applicable and required
  • Participate and contribute to new processes and developments within the Group

Skills & Competencies:

  • Possess Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance/ Accounting or related disciplines
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills in handling operational issues
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate to service recipients
