Roles & Responsibilities

Yinson Greentech, a division of Yinson Holdings Berhad, believes in the megatrend of electrification to transition the industry’s mobility and transportation needs from internal combustion engine to electric. We provide a full ecosystem solutioning to effectively ease and streamline the transition to electrification, that is not only good for the environment that makes economic sense in reducing total ownership cost in the long-term. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our finance team in a multifaceted role focusing on operation and financial accounting, group consolidation, and project management. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring financial data accuracy, providing strategic insights through analysis, and managing key projects that drive operational efficiency and growth.

The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in preparation of the monthly account closing and group consolidated results, lead finance improvement projects, managing budgets, and driving strategic initiatives to support our company's growth and success in the region.

Responsibilities

Operation and Financial Accounting:

  • Overall Finance Manager in-charge for the companies assigned.
  • Direct the accounting process and ensure that the month-end procedures are completed on a timely basis to allow management accounts to be produced.
  • Ensure the timely preparation, collation and submission of financial and management reports including financial performance analysis, comparing against budget and preceding financial year, and narrate them in a clear and concise manner for presentation to management.
  • Prepare cashflow forecast for cash call purpose.
  • Prepare quarterly business review slides for presentation to Business Leaders and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are always in place and in use.
  • Liaison with external auditors, company secretary and tax agents in finalising statutory financial statements, tax returns etc.
  • Co-ordinate the budget exercise, including compilation, review and analyse forecast financials and the underlying assumptions.
  • Prepare budget presentation materials for review to Business Leaders and Senior Leadership Team.


Group Consolidation

  • Lead the consolidation of financial data across various YGT businesses.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports and statements.
  • Streamline consolidation processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Analyse financial performance, trends, and variances against budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management based on analysis results.


Project Management

  • Manage cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deliverables are achieved within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinate project resources, monitor progress, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to minimise potential impact on project outcomes.
  • Lead ERP improvement projects including but not limited to providing functional specifications to enhance existing ERP functionalities.


Collaboration And Communication

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, and other departments to gather data, validate assumptions, and drive alignment on financial and project-related matters.
  • Communicate complex financial information and project updates clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced certification (e.g., PMP, ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, ICAA ) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in finance, project management, or a related field, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
  • Candidates with exposure in listed company environment in a regional consolidation reporting role are encouraged to a apply.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, financial analysis techniques, and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to comprehend system behaviour and strive for system automation in improving work processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across different cultures and regions.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify insights, and make data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate teams, drive results, and navigate complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages spoken is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within South East Asia and internationally as needed.
