Main purpose of the role:

The main purpose of the Costing Executive is to ensure accurate and timely calculation of product costs, analyze cost variations, and provide detailed cost information for decision-making. This role is crucial in maintaining financial efficiency by overseeing cost-control processes, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting pricing strategies to enhance profitability.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

As a Costing Executive, you will be working Monday to Friday,

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for products, services, and projects to determine accurate production and product costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing detailed cost information and analysis to support financial planning.

• Monitor and control costs throughout the production process, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and identifying variances.

• Oversee inventory valuation and management, ensuring accurate costing of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

• Provide cost information and analysis to support pricing strategies, ensuring products are competitively and profitably priced.

• Maintain and update costing systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for cost tracking and reporting.

• Work closely with various departments, including finance, production, procurement, and sales, to gather cost data, streamline processes, and improve cost efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and accounting standards in all costing activities.

• Other duties, as and when assigned by the Management.

• Good and excellent working knowledge of Excel, formulas, data management, and spreadsheets.

• Quick, fast, and speedy user of MS Office, mail communication, and a quick learner.

• Should be capable of handling product costing under various shipping terms.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance/Cost Accounting.

• Possess a strong knowledge in Product costing.

• At least 2 years of experience, preferably costing experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Must be competent in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of the ERP and SAP system will be an added advantage.

• Committed and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

• Good command of English is essential (writing and verbal).
