JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in expanding the Private Debt Fund portfolio by investing in private debt funds, continuously enhancing existing mandates and introducing new mandates.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential private debt funds/ managers and analyse the viability of the investment proposals.
  • Prepare and present investment proposals for the approval of the Management Investment Committee (MIC) and Investment Panel in accordance with the relevant internal procedures and investment policies.
  • Negotiate with fund managers, consultants and any relevant parties on investment terms and conditions; and formulate and propose a funding structure if required.
  • Establish strategic relationships with private debt fund managers, strategic investors, investment banks and other financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with other relevant departments for appropriate and timely submission of the investment recommendations to the Investment Panel and meet the cut-off date for potential deals.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by Head of Section and Head of Department from time to time

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Possess a Master’s Degree/Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance/ Islamic Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or others. Professional qualifications such as CFA would be an added advantage.
  • Passed SPM examination or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government with credit in Bahasa Malaysia.
  • At least 7 years of relevant credit research/ specific deal origination experience/ Fixed Income investment across all industries with domestic and global space.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in Fixed Income investment, financial analysis, and corporate credit due diligence.
  • Aptitude to offer new ideas and elaborate on own views and communicate them in a convincing manner.
  • Demonstrated networking with excellent written and oral communication skills in both Malay and English.
  • Ability to work with different stakeholders such as external analysts, corporations, institutional investors, regulators, agent banks and other intermediaries.
