About Role

As a Senior Collections Associate in our new APAC Global Business Services Centre (GBS), you will have the opportunity to play a role in reducing receivable open balances and improve the payment behaviour of our customers. At the same time, maintain a high level of customer experience and contribute to the cashflow target of our Group.

Our APAC GBS supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contact external customers and follow-up on aged receivables via call, email or collections tool

  • Reduce payment cycle and ensure the customers adhere to agreed payment terms

  • Reviewing and managing blocked orders and ensure appropriate resolution

  • Issue reminders in accordance with ConvaTec policies and procedures

  • Work with the OTC Team Lead to pro-actively manage customer accounts as required by the SLA’s

  • Investigate and address customer claims via disputes

  • Respond to general queries from customers regarding payments

  • Research and verify receipt of payments and investigate residuals (short pay or overpay)

In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our other GBS teams in Lisbon and Bogota, local finance, sales and marketing.

To be successful you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years Collections experience across different markets. (Experience working in a Shared Service environment is advantageous)

  • Well-verse with country-specific markets and its specific payment methods

  • A proactive approach towards challenges and problem solving able to work autonomously

  • Excellent organizational and time management able to work to tight deadlines and with switching priorities

  • A customer-first mindset which corresponds to our “forever caring” brand

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrated knowledge of credit analysis

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Languages:

  • Good written and spoken English is essential

  • Proficient with Mandarin as this role will involve client with Mandarin requirement

Qualifications/Education:

  • Tertiary knowledge preferably Accounting or Finance
