Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process payroll on monthly basis into the system according to the payroll processing cut-off dates
- Ensure new hire & withdrawing/terminated employee records are updated/captured accurately
- Ensure accuracy of payroll records of existing employees including changes in base salary, overtime, allowances, withholding tax, deductions and other variable wage types
- Process 3rd party payments including tax clearance & statutory payments
- Ensure payroll processing is in accordance to policies, statutory & regulatory requirements
2. Payroll Administration
- Ensure statutory compliance as per statutory schedules stipulated by the Government
- Monitor overtime hours & wages captured according to the regulatory OT rates
- Assist in maintaining monthly & annual payroll related reports
- Perform wage, compensation, benefits data analytics
- Liaise with department personnel to ensure timely & accurate updates to payroll
- Assist in data compilation for statutory submission
3. Payroll Records Management
- Ensure all payroll related documents are executed, recorded & filed in accordance to Company policies, regulatory bodies & legal compliance
- Ensure all payroll & employee information are managed with high confidentiality & integrity
4. Others
- Assist in loan / festival advance processing
- Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support to end-users on payroll system (employees & administrators)
- Perform checks on any outstanding payments for withdrawing / terminated employees & advise internal stakeholders accordingly
- Identify process improvements towards operational efficiency
- Ensure data compliance against regulatory bodies and maintain high integrity with data sensitivity & confidentiality
- Assist in communication / engagement initiatives including attending to staff enquiries
- Assist in budget planning exercise
- Provide support during audits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HRM
- Sound understanding of Financial Reporting an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge in Employment Act & Statutory regulatory requirements.
- Sound understanding of payroll & compensation process
- Preferably with 2 years experience of end-to-end payroll processing & administration.
- Attentive to details and process oriented with intermediate knowledge in working with spreadsheets
- Ability to multitask and work under tight timelines.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
