Our client is a reputable Japanese Tire Manufacturer.

Responsibilities:

1. To oversee the overall logistics and warehousing functions of the Company which includes personnel, inventory management, physical distribution, maintenance and record-keeping.

2. To continuously review the standard operation procedures & processes in the department and propose any new systems for efficient work of the department's daily operations.

3. To plan and organise periodical stock take throughout the Company whether at the Central or branches level so as to ensure inventory are kept at optimal level.

4. To impose a proper storing/stacking procedure in order to utilize the spaces in the warehouse to the maximum.

5. To ensure time efficient and effectiveness in the delivery process in order to meet customers' satisfaction & provide correction actions to continuously improve our service.

6. To ensure that all working policies & procedures, instructions, rules & regulations directed by the Management are being abided by the staff.

7. To ensure that all warehouse company vehicles are properly maintained.

8. To prepare cost analysis and department budget.

9. To ensure that there are adequate safety and security measures are taken in the daily operation of the warehouse.

10. To check and highlight any problem to Management with regards to the purchases by all divisions (Automotive and IPD) so as to avoid overstocking and unnecessary excess of stock

11. To check and highlight to the Sales Departments on slow moving stocks.

12. To provide logistics support to all branches as and when required.

13. To maintain an overall cleanliness of the warehouse areas in respects of work

14. To recruit, train, manage and motivate staff in order to maintain a competent team.

15,. liaise and source for the best transport and freight rates.

16. To liaise with relevant authorities on regulatory requirements on import/export items.

17. To perform any other duties as assigned by the management to meet corporate business objectives.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experienced in setting up new warehouses.
  • Skilled in warehouse management.
  • Strong leadership in managing manpower and blue-collar workers effectively.
  • Data-driven and hands-on approach.
  • Knowledgeable in safety procedures with compliance mindset.
  • Excellent people management skills.
