1. Financial Reporting and Consolidation
· Assist in consolidation of financial statements for the entire group, including subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates.
· Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS).
· Manage the reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances to ensure they are properly eliminated in the consolidation process.
· Assist in preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring they meet the requirements of stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
2. Compliance and Audit
· Ensure that the group’s financial statements comply with applicable regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
· Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for the consolidated financial statements.
3. Financial Analysis
· Perform detailed analysis of financial results, including variances from budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, and provide explanations for significant deviations.
· Assist in the preparation of group-level budgets and forecasts by consolidating subsidiary submissions and analyzing overall group performance.
4. Process Improvement
· Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidation process, including the use of financial consolidation software and automation tools.
· Standardization: Work towards standardizing the financial reporting processes across different entities within the group to ensure consistency and comparability.
5. Others
· To assist ad hoc issue/duties that will be assigned from time to time
· Participate in special projects as required, such as systems implementations, process re-engineering initiatives, or financial restructuring.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance or other equivalent Professional Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA, etc.)
- Candidate with Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Accounting yet possessing commensurate related working experiences (5 years) will be considered
- Must have good track records and practical working experiences as Accounts Executive for minimum 3-5 years
- Must have knowledge and working experience in group consolidation accounts
- Well-versed with Microsoft Office and hand on experience in using computerized accounting software (SAP, IFCA) is preferable
- Exposure to the annual budgeting and treasury function are added advantages
