JOB TITLE: ENGINEERING MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively assess the Engineering resource gap in line with business plans and implement
  • Actions to build adequate Engineering capability to support the Operations
  • Provide cost effective and timely Engineering support for proposals and projects
  • Carries out resource planning to match proposal / project needs, ensure optimum
  • resource allocation and overall utilization, manage competency development of
  • engineering resources, development of engineering work methods and procedures,
  • Planning of software (proprietary and in-house developed) availability and competence
  • Coordinates the review of customer’s technical scope and specifications to assure
  • Capability of compliance.
  • Ensures overall quality of engineering deliverables and documentation produced in
  • Support of all proposals & projects.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to the Discipline Managers.
  • Promotes teamwork and ensure coordination among Engineering disciplines
  • Ensures compliance with corporate QHSE and Technical Integrity policies across all
  • Projects. Set an example to the staff of the organization in line with the organization’s
  • Vision and values and plan corrective action where necessary.
  • Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.
  • Integrate and/or consider Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE)
  • Element in all activities to ensure company’s QHSSE objectives and targets are met.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Duties mainly performed in head office in air-conditioned surroundings. Occasional visits to sites, satellite offices, vendor works and Client locations.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering with experience in Engineering of large projects for the upstream oil and gas industry.
