Responsibilities:

1. To oversee the overall manufacturing processes to monitor and track overall equipment effectiveness in terms of availability, performance and quality in utilization of man power, machine efficiency and materials in production.
2. Identify operational losses, benchmarking progress, improve the productivity and yet reduce the cost of overall production operations.
3. Proactively and continuously review and monitor output productivity as well as current man power deployment, production processes and practices to find continuous improvements in procedures, methods, effectiveness and resource utilization for low-cost conversion including monitor and control production costs overtimes, implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
4. Analyze operational incidents and make recommendations to prevent future occurrence for achieving higher productivity in production lines.
5. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
6. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations.
7. Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
8. To strategize and direct the planning of production activities in assigned production lines to meet delivery dates according to sales forecast, planning and/or customers' orders while meeting standards of safety and quality.
9. Lead, motivate, train and upgrade the technical and production skills of the production team to achieve optimum productivity.
10. Provide strong leadership to production team, ensure high morale, teamwork, good employee relations, and promote team collaboration across the organization.
11. Ensure production activities are in compliance to standard of safety policies: Halal, GMP, HACCP, DOSH, DOE, ISO 22000 and all other statutory requirements.
12. Assist in the execution of R&D initiatives to improve recipes, reduce cost and introduce new product when necessary.
13. Collaborate with engineering team for the implementation of machine/production line maintenance and if any improvement projects.
14. Attend weekly/monthly meetings and prepare daily/monthly production reports and yearly budget report as requested.
15. To monitoring and checking and to ensure the following are carried out accordingly:
- Production schedule / date of delivery
- Material stock in proper requirement quality in accordance to specification
- Higher recovery rate
- Staff and workers affairs / safety
- To lead and drive 5S activities in workplace in view to achieve plant wide housekeeping.
16. To undertake any other related duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Industrial) / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing industry.
  • Possess excellent organizational, planning and management skills; outstanding interpersonal, teamwork skills as well as analytical, problem solving and and hands-on skills in any technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and have a strong knowledge of HACCP & GMP procedures.
  • Possess strong leadership, self-motivated, aggressive, result oriented with a good positive working attitude and pro-active in problem solving.
