Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all development activities meet the legal and regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Coordinate and secure necessary permits, approvals, and licenses from government authorities for development projects.
- Establish strong working relationships with various governmental agencies, councils, and regulatory bodies.
- Act as the liaison between the company and external authorities to resolve any compliance issues, provide updates, and ensure smooth operations.
- Assist project teams by providing advice on regulatory requirements and ensuring timely submission of necessary documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management on the status of regulatory approvals and ongoing compliance.
- Address any roadblocks or challenges that may arise in the approval process by working with authorities and internal teams.
- Keep the company informed of any changes in local regulations, policies, or laws that may affect current and future developments.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in real estate development, regulatory compliance, or a similar role.
- Proven track record in securing permits and approvals for large-scale property development projects.
- Strong understanding of local real estate laws, planning regulations, and government processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex approval processes.
- Familiarity with project management principles and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive and resourceful in dealing with regulatory bodies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
- Ability to travel as required for meetings with regulatory authorities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
