The role of Retail Sales Assistant/Senior Sales Assistant is to be overall responsible for the day-to-day business in the store and ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets are achieved. The sales associates are to perform their given tasks in accordance with ECCO requirements.

The Retail Sales Assistant/Senior Sales Assistant is to demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the sale floor. The roles and responsibilities include:

  • Advise and inform customers on usage of ECCO products
  • Able to establish customers' requirements using questioning techniques and listening skills
  • Able to make good recommendations of ECCO products to customers
  • Advice customers on maintenance and care of ECCO products (Leather care)
  • Recommend products based on customers' requirements
  • Recommend complementary and peripheral products - Shoe-care, leather goods, etc (link-sell)
  • Ensure the team provide excellent customer service experience; to increase the overall service level and performance of the store.
  • Attend to customers with types of after sales services
  • Ensure appropriate stock inventory management
  • Close sales to customers' satisfaction

General Responsibilities:-

Retail Store Operations

  • Work with Area Supervisor to ensure ECCO standards and operational practice are executed in the store;
  • Monitor stock and ensure optimal inventory;
  • Participation in inventory feedback to Merchandising team;
  • Handle customer feedback, returns and after-sales service;
  • Ensure the compliance of ECCO store operation and service guidelines from retail operations team
  • Handle simple merchandise display and assist in window change
  • Simple stock replenishment request
  • Keep track of all ins and outs of inventory including sales, transfers, returns
  • Alert Area Supervisor if there is any discrepancies with inventory

Teamwork

  • Sharing of feedback, information and best-practice sharing with the team
  • Communicate in a manner that builds positive relationship with customers and mutual trust between colleagues
  • Communicate in a manner that effectively transmits ideas and information to the team while also displaying effective listening skills
  • Develop team cohesiveness

Sales targets & results

  • Ensure the store achieve the daily, weekly and monthly sales target;
  • Preparation of sales reports to the management
