Position Title : General Manager

Industry: Logistic/Forwarding

Location: Klang

Salary Range: Up to RM18k

Objective: The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the company's forwarding and logistics operations. This role involves strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure efficient service delivery, support company growth, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:
• Oversee daily logistics and forwarding operations, including cargo handling and transportation.
• Ensure compliance with regulations like customs and import/export laws.
• Develop procedures to improve efficiency and cut costs.
• Strategic Planning:
• Create and implement plans to meet company goals and growth targets.
• Analyze market trends and adjust strategies as needed.
• Work with senior management to achieve the company’s vision.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team across various departments.
• Promote a collaborative work environment and provide development opportunities.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Financial Oversight:
• Develop and manage the departmental budget.
• Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
• Analyze financial reports to guide business decisions.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure operations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Implement risk management strategies and conduct regular audits.
• Promote safety and legal adherence.
• Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Develop strategies to expand the client base and service offerings.
• Negotiate contracts to support business growth.

Authority:

• Make decisions on daily tasks related to operations and sales.

Job Specification:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA is a plus).
• Experience: Experience in a managerial role, ideally as a General Manager or similar position.
• Skills/Training:
• Proficient in Windows Office Applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel).
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong command of English and good computer skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
