Job Description/Responsibilities: 1. Identify, analyze, and develop new opportunities in the construction sector. 2. Monitor, study and recommend tenders and new projects in both public and private sectors. 3. Undertake in-depth research and analysis and prepare and present reports, technical and commercial proposals of the potential projects. 4. Develop and maintain strong relation with business partners, clients, consultants, etc. 5. Lead the business development team and set the KPI’s and goals. 6. Work collaboratively with department heads and senior management in facilitating successful tender preparation, data mining, and execution of overall business strategy. 7. Undertake risk assessment and risk management. Qualification and Experience: 1. Degree in Engineering, Quantity Survey, Business, or Economics 2. Minimum ten years’ working experience in the construction industry 3. Possess working knowledge in public sector tender and procurement practice Skill Set Requirement: 1. Excellent writing and presentation skills 2. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills 3. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia 4. Willing to work long hours and perform well under pressure 5. Sound knowledge of the local construction industry 6. An analytical mind capable of generating “out-of-the-box” thinking to solve problems
