Job Title : Marketing Communications Manager

Reports To : Group Chief Communications & ESG Officer, Senior Manager-Corporate Communications

Supervises : Communication Section, Agencies

Purpose of Job / Job Summary

We seek an experienced communications individual to join us as we expand our regional communication activities in Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam and the UK. This position is based in Petaling Jaya and handles the Group and Associated Companies/ Projects.

1. Collaborate with regional communication teams (Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore and the UK) to develop a suite of centralised multi-channel communication assets.

2. Developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans for dedicated brand campaigns across various channels (online, print, social media, events).

3. Creating engaging content and management: Write and edit marketing copy for websites, brochures, social media and other marketing materials. Increasing engagement with stakeholders and fostering stronger digital relationships.

4. Media relations: Build and maintain relationships with media influencers to secure publicity for the company.

5. Marketing strategies analytics: expertise in market research, analysis, and strategy development that leads to more effective marketing campaigns.

6. Work closely with other teams within the communication department, such as graphic designers, web developers, and communications specialists, to create cohesive and effective marketing initiatives.

7. Tracking and analysing marketing performance. Data-driven decision-making to optimise communication strategies. Report results to management and recommend improvements.

8. Ensure media monitoring and social listening are done regularly.

Internal : All departments within the Group and Associated Companies/Projects

External : Agencies, Suppliers and Media

Qualifications :

Bachelor of Arts - Mass Communications / English Literature / Advertising or equivalent / Marketing Communication

Experience:

A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in public relations, marketing communications, and corporate communications roles.

Candidates with an agency background or are used to doing corporate/business/financial sectors will be an added advantage.

Specific skills/abilities:

1. Clear and concise communications skills, proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

2. Excellent writing and editing skills, primarily in English.

3. Strategic and analytical – with a good grasp of numbers and basic calculation.

4. Solid knowledge and experience in the social media landscape and management.

5. Strong stakeholder management skills to establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relations.

6. Strong ability to work laterally across different business units and geographical locations, and vertically across all staff levels.

7. Good research, organisational and time management skills.

8. Good Microsoft Office skills.
