Job Title : Technician - Specialist in Air-Conditioning

Reports To : Maintenance Manager

Job Summary :

Technician - Specialist in Air-Conditioning responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air-conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Installation and Setup:

• Install and set up various types of air-conditioning systems, including split, window, central, and ductless systems.
• Ensure that installations are completed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Test systems to ensure proper operation and performance.

2. Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on air-conditioning units to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair issues in HVAC systems, including mechanical failures, refrigerant leaks, and electrical problems.
• Replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, and filters.

3. Troubleshooting:

• Identify and resolve issues in air-conditioning systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Provide detailed reports on the nature of problems and the steps taken to resolve them.
• Advise customers on best practices for maintaining their air-conditioning systems to prevent future issues.

4. Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national HVAC codes and regulations.
• Handle refrigerants and other chemicals in accordance with environmental regulations.

5. Documentation :

• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and customer interactions.
• Prepare and submit necessary paperwork, such as warranty claims and service reports.
• Keep track of inventory and ensure that all tools and materials are in good working condition.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

• Diploma or certification in HVAC technology, refrigeration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e,g , EPA Section 608 Certification) are highly desirable.

2. Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC technician or specialist in air-conditioning.
• Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various air-conditioning systems.

3. Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including their components, operation, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

4. Licenses:

• Valid HVAC license or certification required
• A valid driver's license may be required for on-site visits.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
