Purpose of the role:
Experienced business analyst with knowledge in data analysis, reporting and problem solving. Job scope covers building, deploying and maintaining data support tools and project management. The analyst will also be a key player in automating processes for various types of reports to increase efficiency and accuracy. Candidate must possess excellent communication dealing with relevant stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Trend Identification: Analyze operations and market trends, competitor behavior, and industry developments to provide proactive recommendations to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collect, generate, automate, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to the company's commercial performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other analytical tools via Tableau/ Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate insights and strategies to key stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of commercial, financial, and operational data to be on top of market trends, competitor behavior, and industry developments to provide proactive business strategies recommendations to maintain a competitive edge as well as identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving measures in high-priority business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy, with a strong focus on automation.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of strategic initiatives, providing analytical insights to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various initiatives, providing guidance and insights to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Assist in the organizational realignment and process reengineering, including collaboration with IT team to optimize data management processes, data visualization, and reporting capabilities.
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Personal Qualities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Tableau/ Power BI to streamline reporting processes.
- Knowledge in statistical analysis techniques and experience working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with commercial and operational aspects of businesses, not limited to sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey findings from data analysis to stakeholders.
- Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well under stress;
- Mature, proactive, resourceful, courageous, and hands-on to understand issues on the ground;
- Added advantage: Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, regulations, and best practices
