Medical Officer

Job Description:

1. Provides professional medical care to corporate clients and Emergency Room patients.

2. Renders professional medical care for any patient seeking treatment in the Emergency Room. Medical care will be in compliance with the established guidelines, policy and procedures.

3. Initiates prompt referral to the Consultant as and when required by the patient’s condition.

4.Attend regular and periodic ER Doctors’ meeting.

5.Works in close cooperation with other units and ancillary department in establishing support service requirements for medical activities within Emergency Room / Resus Room and Staff Health Clinic Services.

6.Adheres to Hospital Administrative and Medical Policies and Procedures within the Emergency Room areas.

7.Responds to all Code Blue calls and acts as the Primary medical person until relieved by a Medical Consultant or the Primary Physician.

8.Ensures that all equipments in the Emergency Room are in good working order.

9.Attend lectures by in-house specialists as and when organized in order to maintain a Continuing Medical Education Programme (CME).

Job Qualification:

• Possess basic Medical Degree from a recognized university.

• Possess good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Minimum five (3) years working experience.
