Job Description

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and manage audit processes effectively.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff. Assign tasks, review work, and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger activities. Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position. Experience in [specific industry, if applicable] is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of MFRS and IFRS, proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks), and advanced Excel skills.
