JOB DESCRIPTION

The Principal will responsibility for the organisation and management of the school.

The ideal candidate is expected to deliver on the following:

• To assist in providing strategic vision and inspiring leadership across the school
• To work on students’ number growth
• To create and maintain a conducive and excellent learning environment which meets the needs of students, staff and the expectation of parents and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Creates a high-quality and holistic learning environment within the school
• Ensures the efficient and effective use of resources (teachers, facilities and teaching materials) in the delivery of curriculum and educational excellence
• Promotes regular communication and effective sharing of information with parents as well as ensures an effective partnership with the school’s communities
• Ensures that Company’s policies and local regulatory requirements for the curriculum, school’s premises, health and safety, and well-being of staff and students are known, understood and followed
• Assists in the implementation of marketing plans by understanding the local market and taking steps to ensure that the school remains competitive and relevant in the local and regional community
• Keeps abreast of education pedagogy, new and emerging technologies together with developments in education in Malaysia and internationally
• Serves as an “ambassador” in representing the school to external stakeholders.

Candidate’s Specifications

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Ability to speak and write Mandarin will be an added advantage.

• Up-to-date knowledge and experience of the Cambridge curriculum
• Relevant experience in a position of school / college leadership with at least 5 years of work experience as a Principal or a senior manager in an education or education-related industry
• Possesses leadership qualities including excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and adaptable to change, growth and development
• Ambitious, hard-working, motivated and a character which reflects a strong role model.
