Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare the pre-job hazard assessment in the documentation required by the project engineer or site safety requirement.
  • Present project activities such as Installation (on-site) or required with Project Manager for meeting or conducting Safety briefing at site.
  • To ensure workers are complying with the safety requirements at site and correct any unsafe manner.
  • Comply with all Safety & Health requirements in construction sites.
  • Assist Project Manager on safety matters, procedures and specifications as required by the client.
  • Assist Project Manager to ensure all workers are wearing PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Perform daily toolbox talk.
  • Perform inspection on the tools and equipment.
  • Check inventory of the first aid box weekly.
  • To conduct/arrange daily safety briefing & Safety Toolbox Meeting for workers at site.
  • Ensure workers’ passport, working permit, CIDB or any other necessary documents are always valid to work at site.
  • To ensure workers are working in safe and healthy condition.
  • Ensure all equipment/machinery are complying to safety requirement and safe to be used.
  • Coordinate with site team conducting housekeeping activity to ensure site cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Notify superior if there is any urgent or emergency in site if necessary.
  • To involve in incident investigation if there is any incident at site.
  • To monitor, supervise and ensure all site work (including sub-contractors) are carried out in accordance with the specifications, construction plan and work instructions.
  • To inspect and rectify all unsafe condition at work site (main task).
  • Conduct regular site observations, inspections, and audits to monitor and ensure safety and health.
  • Report unsafe behavior and suggest improvements.
  • Assist the SHO in developing site emergency response plans, monitoring emergency supplies, and organizing drills.
  • Assist the SHO in investigating workplace incidents.
  • Ensure Permits to Work (PTW) are submitted, approved, and displayed on-site.
  • Support local authorities (DOSH, CIDB, health department) with their work.
  • Maintain safety and health documents for inspections.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Yellow Book holder registered with DOSH.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • At least 2 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must willing to travel to the site.
  • Able to work a 6-day week.
  • Willing to work long hours when required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Able to commerce work immediately & possess own vehicle.
  • Willing to work in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
