Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience in a school library setting is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using library management software and digital resources.

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, social, and emotional concerns.
  • Assist students in developing coping strategies and problem-solving skills.

  • Monitor student progress and provide academic advising and support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop intervention plans for at-risk students.

Career Guidance:

  • Assist students in exploring career options and educational pathways.
  • Provide information on college admissions, vocational training, and scholarship opportunities.

Crisis Intervention:

  • Respond to student crises and emergencies, providing immediate support and referrals as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality while following legal and ethical guidelines.

Workshops and Programs:

  • Organize and facilitate workshops on topics such as stress management, study skills, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote social-emotional learning initiatives within the school.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and community resources to support student well-being.
  • Participate in school committees and contribute to the overall school improvement plan.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and interventions.
  • Prepare reports and data analysis for school administration regarding counseling services.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Valid counseling certification or licensure (as required by local regulations).
