Job Description

Business Relationship Manager is the liaison between the agency and its clients to help achieve the business objectives. She/He oversees the agency-client relationship, determining clients’ needs—what they’re looking to achieve short-term and long-term—and ensuring the company delivers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Initiate and develop relationships with clients for business growth.
  • Ensuring that relevant management information is captured and analyzed, track, analyze and communicate project risks and opportunities.
  • Stay updated on recent industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business plans for client projects.
  • Collaborate with production management in developing timely solutions for client requirements.
  • Provide management with project quotations and, when required, deliver presentations showcasing project value.
  • Conduct business reviews with clients on a periodic basis.
  • Follow-up on qualified clients for new opportunities.
  • Address customer issues/concerns in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work closely with clients to understand the business needs and to explore opportunities for growth.
  • Provide business advice and consultancy to clients in effective manner.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of company’s products, pricing, policies etc, so as to educate clients on benefits.
  • Identify current and future business development opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers for business retention.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of client information.
  • Plan the work of the team to ensure that all the meetings are conducted effectively.
  • Ensure the team follows the processes and maintains quality standards.

  • May be required to carry out similar nature of business area that fall within the work remit as directed by the top management, and this may include working from other locations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as Client Relationship Manager / Business Relationship Manager.
  • Understand the business and industry landscape.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office; CRM software knowledge (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and people oriented mindset.
  • Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and work closely with sales and marketing team.
  • Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in Japanese or Mandarin (spoken and written). Local candidates must possess at least JLPT N2 (for Japanese speaker candidate) or an equivalent proof of proficiency.
  • Fluent to business-level fluency in English (spoken and written).
