Job Description

Revenue & Reservations Manager

As a Revenue & Reservations Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of effective revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy. You will monitor and analyze market trends, competitor performance, and economic indicators to adjust pricing and inventory strategies. Additionally, you will oversee the reservations process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in booking procedures and systems. You will manage distribution channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and direct booking platforms. You will prepare and present regular revenue reports and forecasts to senior management and collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align revenue strategies with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Management Strategies: Develop and implement effective revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor performance, and economic indicators to adjust pricing and inventory strategies.
  • Reservations Process: Oversee the reservations process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in booking procedures and systems.
  • Distribution Channels: Manage distribution channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and direct booking platforms.
  • Revenue Reports: Prepare and present regular revenue reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align revenue strategies with overall business goals.
  • System Optimization: Ensure optimal use of revenue management systems and tools.
  • Team Training: Train and mentor the reservations team to ensure high standards of service and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including travel agents, corporate clients, and third-party partners.
  • Yield Management: Implement and oversee yield management and inventory control processes.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality Management.
  • Prior experience in Revenue Management is an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sales Manager, 3 years of experience as a Front Office or Reservations Manager, or 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of professionalism with strong human resources management and business acumen capabilities.
