- Our Japan-based anime studio producing original, high-quality content
- A lean, high-impact team revolutionizing anime fan engagement
The Role
Develop and execute a pioneering social media strategy that will establish our anime social network as the go-to platform for the global anime community, driving user acquisition and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy for our anime social network, focusing on TikTok and Instagram
- Collaborate with our Japan-based anime studio to develop unique, platform-exclusive content that showcases our social network's features
- Establish KPIs and analyze performance metrics to drive user acquisition and engagement for the platform
- Develop a distinctive brand voice that resonates with anime fans across all social media channels
- Stay ahead of social media and anime industry trends to keep our content and strategy cutting-edge
- Coordinate with product, marketing, and community teams to ensure seamless integration between our social media presence and the social network platform
- Manage social media budget and resources effectively
- Develop crisis management protocols and manage platform reputation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in entertainment, tech, or gaming industries
- Proven track record of building social media presence from zero and driving significant user acquisition
- Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram algorithms, best practices, and content strategies
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for platform growth
- Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and growth hacking techniques
- Passion for anime and deep understanding of global anime fan communities and subcultures
- Experience in community building and fostering user-generated content
- Experience in launching or promoting social networking platforms
- Knowledge of the Japanese anime industry and its global market dynamics
- Understanding of influencer marketing within the anime community
- Familiarity with social media advertising and performance marketing strategies
- Experience with cross-platform promotion and integration (e.g., linking social media engagement to platform sign-ups)
- Pioneer the social media strategy for a well-funded, innovative anime social network from the ground up
- Work directly with top executives and our Japan-based anime studio to create unique, platform-exclusive content
- Lead a team in a fast-paced, creative environment with significant growth potential
