Crawford & Company is seeking an Accounts Executive to be based in Malaysia.

What to look forward to

The successful candidate will assist the finance team in efficiently managing all aspects of the company’s financial transactions. Responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, handling incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. The candidate will also support management in controlling expenses and making informed financial decisions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor contracts.
  • Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring proper cost allocation and expense coding.
  • Monitor and control expenditures to adhere to budgetary limits and provide analysis reports to assist management in controlling expenses and making informed decisions.
  • Process and allocate customer payments to the appropriate accounts.
  • Prepare and issue account statements to customers or account coordinators as part of the collection process.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly transactions for all bank accounts.
  • Assist in the implementation of new procedures or systems as needed.
  • Generate regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collections status, and cash flow projections.
  • Support the monthly accounting close process and update management reports.
  • Assist in preparing accounting and related reports according to the Group’s requirements and deadlines.
  • Prepare inter-company account reconciliations and other monthly schedules (e.g., fixed assets listing, prepayments, accruals).
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, company secretaries, tax agents, suppliers, creditors, and relevant authorities.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Who are we looking for?

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting and finance; audit experience is desirable.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a willingness to grow with the company and go the extra mile.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV accounting software is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft application (Excel Pivot Table, Formula and Function)
