Job Descriptions: -

  • Responsible to identify, manage and maintain the Operational Risk Management Framework, which include performing and supporting risk identification, assessment and measurement to ensure risk is being managed within our risk appetite and that regulatory requirements are being met.
  • Continuously evaluate business operations, identify of potential risks in the processes and new initiatives, oversee the efficiency of control systems and prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Build, educate, and train staff to ensure risk management is embedded in the daily business operations and processes.
  • Maintain and oversee business continuity management program including appropriate testing.
  • Consult and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to better understand the business requirement, processes, systems, products etc
  • Coordinate and oversee business continuity management activities including appropriate testing for the department.
  • Guide and monitor the execution of Operational Risk Management Framework, review and coordinate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicator (KRI) etc
  • Validate and coordinate the monthly KRI and perform KCT testing.
  • Verifying, oversee and support Business Units on management of operational risk breaches, gap or incidents, which include identifying root cause, initiate changes and etc
  • Review and update the internal policy and guideline issued by the department.
  • Review reconciliation and identify the long outstanding general ledger (GL) balances, unreconciled balances and unusual transactions which require further investigation
  • Collaborate with your peers to collectively think of innovative ideas that drive business through technology and process automation.
  • Serve as secretariate of the department operational risk forum, which deliberate detailed operational risk and regulatory control issue/incident
  • To encourrage self-improvement by attending relevant training/courses or reading materials related to operational risks, regulatory and compliance
  • Provide guidance and technical advice to subordinate and peers, share information, assists and support to meet the deadline.

Job Requirements:-

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Other Banking related field or risk related discipline.
  • Preferably with professional certifications e.g. ACCA/CPA/MBA (risk management specialisation) or any
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in audit, operational risk management and/or banking experience
  • Conversant with regulatory requirements in relation to financial service industries.
