Job SummaryCNI is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Marketing to lead and drive the company’s marketing initiatives. This individual will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of product categories, from development to market launch, ensuring creative sales growth with efficient resource allocation. The role involves collaboration across departments, particularly with R&D, design, and key sales distributors, ensuring product regulation compliance and supporting the company’s vision.
The ideal candidate will be a resourceful leader capable of empowering a small marketing team and developing cost-effective strategies to enhance CNI’s market position.
Key Responsibilities1. Product Portfolio & Campaign Management:
- Lead end-to-end product portfolio management, overseeing product development, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities to drive sales and consumer engagement.
- Devise and implement creative sales strategies with efficient use of resources, focusing on maximising ROI.
- Plan and execute product launches, collaborating closely with the design team for packaging and marketing collateral.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Supplier Management:
- Ensure full compliance with relevant product regulations and internal policies, overseeing compliance processes.
- Partner with the factory R&D team to fulfill product requirements; proactively source alternative suppliers when internal resources fall short.
3. Sales & Distributor Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with key sales distributors, building their confidence in product promotions and sales initiatives.
- Provide marketing support to distributors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
4. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and empower a marketing team of four, with a focus on cultivating a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with a second-in-command from within the team to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.
5. Budget & Performance Management:
- Oversee and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation for campaigns and promotional activities.
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise campaign performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous innovation.
6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the BDP, Operations, and ICT teams, to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives and overall business goals.
- Work with creative agencies when necessary to develop compelling product narratives and promotional materials.
- Monitor competitor market intelligence, benchmarking against competitors and global industry practices to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Strategic Thinking & Creativity: Ability to craft innovative marketing strategies that drive sales while optimising resource use.
- Leadership & Team Empowerment: Strong leadership skills with experience managing a small team and fostering growth and collaboration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work with R&D, suppliers, design teams, and sales distributors to meet diverse business needs.
- Resourcefulness: Ability to identify and engage alternative suppliers and solutions when necessary.
- Sales-Driven Mindset: Strong focus on delivering results through close collaboration with distributors and execution of sales-driven marketing strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset to analyse campaign performance and optimise marketing strategies.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or business, with experience in the MLM industry as an advantage.
- Proven experience in resourcefully leading product development, launch campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Strong understanding of product regulatory compliance and supplier management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in digital marketing, social media, and content marketing is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English and Malay is essential; Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
