Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the hotel’s general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and intercompany accounts regularly.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and report on the hotel's financial performance, highlighting variances and key issues.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with hotel management systems is a plus).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
