Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in accordance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., ISO ISO 22000, HACCP, and JAKIM).
  • Design and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality manuals to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures to minimize identified risks.
  • Conduct supplier audits to verify compliance with quality and food safety requirements, and work with suppliers to address any identified issues or deficiencies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in extensive inspections, addressing audit findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare, review, update, maintain and establish documentation of quality management system procedures, records, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization in product development, production processes and daily operation.
  • Promote awareness of quality and food safety principles throughout the organization through training sessions, communication channels, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality management systems and recommend updates aimed at enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in quality management systems, processes, and procedures through analysis of performance data, customer feedback, and internal audits.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of quality management systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or any related field is required.
  • 2 years and above proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management roles, with a focus on developing and managing quality management systems in F&B industry.
  • Professional certifications in quality management systems, food safety or related areas are a plus.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex concepts and requirements to diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
