Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring that the Bus Maintenance Rapid Bus formulates and implements policies and procedures that align with the Rapid Bus Business Strategy and core values in the areas of maintenance for all assets pertaining to the Bus Division of Rapid KL.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the availability of RKL/RPG/RKN buses for revenue service as per the established KPIs to meet operational demand.
  • Ensure the reliability of RKL/RPG/RKN buses for revenue service, minimizing breakdowns as per the established KPIs.
  • Ensure the reliability of RKL/RPG/RKN buses for revenue service, focusing on timely return to the depot as per the established KPIs.
  • Oversee workshop safety and security requirements, ensuring that all safety aspects meet the standards set by relevant authorities and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Increase EBITDA by implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Measure workforce productivity at the depot workshop against working hours.
  • Maintain up-to-date data in SAP PM, including Preventive Maintenance Schedules, GRNs, and PR issuances.
  • Ensure all staff and bus-related data recording systems (e.g., PRS, productivity, live monitoring) are updated and compliant with system requirements.
  • Implement ISO/IMS (QMS, ABMS, EMS, ITSS, OSHA), PUSPAKOM, JAS (E-SWISS), and JKKP (PMT/PMA) regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure that all company assets under your custody are well maintained, compliant with regulatory requirements, controlled, and safe for use.
  • Monitor and manage staff behavior, proposing improvement plans as needed.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering, or Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
  • Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM).
  • Certified KYDL (Kemudahan Yang Di Luluskan) by Jabatan Alam Sekitar.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience.

Functional Competencies

  • Cost planning and control.
  • Knowledge of relevant acts and regulations (e.g., JPJ, DOE, PUSPAKOM).
  • Strong technical analytical skills.
  • Workshop process planning.
  • Proficient in technical report writing.
