In your new role you will:

  • Own and drive continuously the production cost improvement program within Division CSS
    • Manage and supervise the established CSS BL specific cost improvement programs to prioritize and drive defined production cost performance improvement measures together with all related support functions (e.g. product & test engineering)
    • Develop the cost per piece targets based on P&L segment profit targets as well as external benchmarking data
    • Be the prime interface to OP, DES, CSS BL to initiate, push, and track cost-down measures
    • Regularly align with the CSS Board and CSS BL on the progress of our product cost improvements initiatives
    • Generate full level transparency on necessary cost targets in FE and BE to meet the CSS P&L Bluebook profitability requirements
    • Demonstrate full accountability for achieving the defined TCM cost saving targets
  • Define performance, reliability, and manufacturability measures for cost competitive CSS technologies and products and applications across the entire process chain
    • Ensure in-time definition of right-fit reliability requirements for all new technologies and products within CSS in balance with the specific product cost targets
    • Develop and implement reliability concepts and requirements for new CSS technology & product development and qualifications
  • Define and drive implementation of design for productivity measures in cooperation with product and technology development teams within CSS, as well as business owners within BL
    • Utilize existing DFM initiatives and programs within CSS, other DIV, DES, and OP to further enhance a DFM oriented mind set within our whole development process and organizations to maximize the benefit and full cost down potential for feasible DFM measures
    • Provide business case calculations and drive in-time decisions and implementation of feasible DFM measures in the CSS development process
    • Collaborate with other DIV and DES/OP representatives for eventually rolling out this initiative across entire IFX
    • Ensure a regular and close alignment with the IFX Board, esp. the IFX COO, to achieve helpfull support and guidance on further enhancing a DFM oriented mind set within IFX
  • Manage and coach a small team of highly trained technical specialist and program managers and experts
    • Provide managerial guidance, coaching, and development support in line with the IFX leadership and Spirit principles


You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • At least 10+ years of professional experience within Program Management or Product/Technology Development
  • Profound understanding of Infineon production processes, platform technologies, product designs, and supplier landscape
  • Deep understanding of Infineon product cost calculation and financial charging methodologies
  • Professional experience in the field of reliability and qualification requirement definition
  • A well established network with key stakeholders on a cross divisional basis
  • Proven communication and presentation skills, including IFX & DIV Board level quality
  • Excellent communication skills in English, German as a plus
