Supply Chain Executive

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle sourcing activities for materials (food and non-food) with right specifications
• Request, evaluate and negotiate quotations’ term with vendors for best package; and subsequently secure long-term partnership contract.
• Work closely with 3PL to ensure healthy level of inventory holding at all times, including monitoring expiry dates, identify and highlight slow moving items to management to enable decision to be made (to prevent write-off for obsolete stocks)
• Work closely with vendors to ensure sufficient level of stocks to ensure no disruption in operation
• Support and coordinate activities for New Store Opening with Operations, Marketing and other relevant functions to ensure smooth delivery of items prior to store opening
• To coordinate activities for new product development with QA, Marketing and Training Dept when required
• Support in ensuring purchasing data is updated into systems (change in specifications and prices, addition, or removal of SKUs, etc)
• To handle all administrative tasks eg. documents filing, issue PO / SO pertaining to purchasing activities
• Work with Finance Department to ensure timely payment
• To check and monitor expiry of Halal Certificates for all SKUs, ensuring renewal are done prior to expiry and update Training/Halal department accordingly
• Be a “ superuser “ within the team, stay up-to-date on market situation for potential cost savings’ purpose
• Perform all other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior whenever necessary from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Procurement / Supply Chain role
• Experience dealing with FMCG, food or beverage is an added advantage.
• Good management skills and effective communications and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work across multiple levels
• Highly independent, resourceful with high personal initiative/drive
• Thorough operating principle with “hands-on” mentality
• Proactive with good negotiation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
