About the Role

The machine learning and artificial intelligence industry is growing by leaps and bounds. This means that SUPA’s clients would also be increasingly more sophisticated in their technology. To be competitive, SUPA has been building the infrastructure that would enable our community of 70,000 data annotators to be on par with the expectations of our clients.

As a Community Associate, you will play a vital role in the success of SUPA’s data labelling platform. In order for our annotators to generate high-calibre work, your end goal is to create an environment where they are highly engaged and where information is communicated openly. This involves translating the culture and values of SUPA into the community as well as organising initiatives for our annotators.

You will be the go-to person co-leading the strategy, execution and management of all communications to our online and globally distributed workforce. Apart from this, you will act as the bridge between the community and the internal team at SUPA.

Responsibilities

  • Create and project-manage all communications for community initiatives, including Townhalls, focus groups and user interviews.
  • Create communications to strategically inform the internal team of the strategies in community engagement.
  • Attend to enquiries and support issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate ideas for improvements of operational processes and execute them to increase efficiency, without compromising on the ‘human’ element.
  • Identify strategies and methodologies to improve the quality of data annotators.
  • Analyze engagement metrics for data-driven decision-making.
  • Ownership of the culture & engagement pillar of the community.
  • Conducting analysis on all culture & engagement activities, preparing and presenting analysis to relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively seek opportunities to upskill to become an increasingly effective Community Manager.

Qualifications

  • A heart for People. A people person who is empathetic, an attentive listener and builds rapport effortlessly in order to grasp the needs and concerns of the community.
  • An excellent command of English - both written and verbal.
  • Ideally between 4 - 6 years of working experience in any field that requires people or community engagement (client engagement is applicable). Candidates with 2-3 years of experience will be considered for a Community Associate role.
  • A background in Marketing, Mass Communications, Advertising or Business is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in strategizing and crafting communication pieces (on both corporate and ground level).
  • Meticulous with exceptional attention to detail to ensure the strategy and execution are accurately implemented.
  • Strong Project Management skills with an understanding of how Project Management and People Management are interlinked, and how the latter enables the former.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
