Job Description

  • Manage and lead the overall R&D and Technical support for both companies – focused on product and process development and technical support.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Upgrade and develop the R&D Framework and structure to optimise delivery of :
    • New product development
    • Product improvement
    • Process improvement
    • Cost settings
  • Able to build strong interdisciplinary / cross functional team through existing resources, procurement of new resources, collaboration (both internal and external) and outsourced talent.
  • Able to lead and manage both companies R&D and Technical teams in achieving Departmental BSC – KPIs.
  • Lead technical service and market interface activities.
  • Able to manage, lead and inspire people and teams including outsourced times with specific strengths in processes, systems and structures which will support and meet BSC – KPIs.
  • Manage trouble shooting of product and process through a systematic approach with a focus on effective action to minimize re-occurrence.
  • Identify and take initiative to lead continuous improvement efforts and add new product line to existing platforms.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of R&D and Technical – systems, structure and resources to match best in class levels.
Requirements

  • Post Grad Qualification – Master’s Degree preferably in science or any equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in R&D – in a rubber or elastomeric based medical products manufacturing environment.
  • New product development and project management skills.
  • Strong in systems, structures and processes.
  • Able to manage bigger scope from 2 sites.
  • Able to interface with customers in relation to R&D matters.
