Your Mission

  • Lead the creation and implementation of robust sustainability reporting frameworks aligned with global standards (e.g., ISSB, GRI, SASB) and current and future regulatory requirements (e.g. Bursa Listing Requirements around sustainability, National Sustainability Reporting Framework).
  • Lead the development and reporting of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) information to both internal (e.g. Group Leadership Committee and Sustainability Committee) and external stakeholders (e.g. investors, SPOTT, CDP).
  • Lead the development of sustainability reports, presentations, and disclosures for annual reports, investor communications, websites and other external channels.
  • Lead group-wide ESG data collection and analysis and manage the collection, validation, and analysis of data related to sustainability metrics (e.g. carbon emissions, social impact, water, waste).
  • Lead monitoring of Group-wide progress against the framework’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and work with relevant internal stakeholders to meet established targets.
  • Lead the monitoring and reporting of business units’ annual climate change KPI achievements.
  • Manage internal and external assurance process for sustainability information disclosed in sustainability report.
  • Manage the Climate Change team in the development and execution of SD Guthrie’s Net-Zero commitments and roadmap.
  • Oversee the rollout of SD Guthrie’s Beyond Zero sustainability strategy framework, ensuring it is integrated into all levels of business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (investors, regulators) to ensure alignment on sustainability goals and reporting requirements.
  • Stay informed of evolving sustainability regulations and trends to ensure the company remains compliant and ahead of emerging industry standards around sustainability and ESG.
  • Identify areas for improvement and innovation in sustainability practices and reporting in alignment with emerging and future ESG regulations, best practices and reporting frameworks.
  • Recommend and implement new tools and technologies to enhance sustainability performance.
  • Any other tasks as required and assigned by the Head, Climate Change and Reporting.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering Degree.
  • Degree/Certification in Climate Change, Environmental and Sustainability related fields will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards such as ISSB and CDP.
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability.

Professional Experience

  • Up to 12 years working experience, preferably in sustainability consulting.
  • Consulting skills, e.g. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Effective team and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate sustainability goals and initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in the palm oil industry is an added advantage.
