Process Engineer - PEM • Working location : Port Klang • Job type : Permanent • Salary : Max RM7000 • Benefits : 5-day week, free parking, coverage for hospitalization, surgical, insurance, etc • Industry : Formwork Structures/Construction/ Scaffolding Job Responsibilities : • Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows. • Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures. • Assembles reports to document process status and changes. • Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades. • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes in formwork and steel manufacturing • Utilize process simulation software to model and analyze production processes • Develop and maintain process flow diagrams and material balances • Implement process control systems to ensure product quality and consistency • Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement • Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes • Review and develop working instruction and other standard operation procedure • Analyse rejection type, quality issue and improvement activities • Review process flow and motion time study base on value stream mapping. • And any other instruction relevant to the job functions that may be given to you from time to time. Requirements : • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial or similar). • 5+ years of experience as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of process optimisation techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis. • Proficient in process analysis, process modelling, statistical analysis and simulation software • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues. • Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. • Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S and Value Stream Mapping. • Experience with process automation and control systems. • Knowledge of automation and control systems, such as SCADA and PLC. • Knowledge of process simulation software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools. • Solid understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO standards.
