Operations Deputy Manager

The position requires an experience manager to fully control over the key aspects of managing a distribution center of fresh produce operations such as inventory management, operation management, logistics coordination, team leadership and cross functional collaboration. The required skills required for this position is for someone with the knowledge in managing movement of fresh produce from the suppliers to the warehouse and later to be sent to the respective customers. The candidate must be well-versed of the life-span quality of the fresh produce to ensure the best timing for each step of the process, either it is vegetables, seafood, poultry or meat. It is important that the candidate has a previous experience in supervising a fresh produce distribution center or warehouse process flow. The technological skills required from his candidate is someone that has previous experience in managing an operation data management specifically for fresh produce distribution centers. He or she must be able to analyze and summarize the information within the operation data management system to plan for day-to-day operation needs and preparations. The candidate also must be able to analyze these data to improve workflow, increase efficiency and reduce risks. As such, this technological skill is essential. The characteristics of this candidate must be someone who strive under pressure and motivate the team during very tense operation hours. To manage the day-to-day activity of a fresh produce distribution center from acceptance from suppliers, to storing and grading, and finally distribution to respective customers. 2. To manage a team of employees manning the flow of process in order to have the most efficient collection, grading, storing and distribution process flow. 3. To manage the operation data management system in order to manage the day-to-day activities and schedule for any improvement measures. 4. To manage the handling of invoices, request orders and instruction sheet so that the recording of documents are in place. 5. To ensure work safety and certification standards are adhered and complied. 6. Prepare necessary reports, analysis and data sheet for the Management to review and assess. 7. Assist the Operation Manager in ensuring the daily process is smooth and productive. 8. Other tasks or assignments that will be assigned by the Management from time-to-time. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Food Technology or relevant fields. Any experience within the same capacity or related business matrix is an advantage. 2. A minimum of 5 years as an Executive in a distribution center environment. 3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. 4. Good knowledge of any distribution center operation management system. 5. Good knowledge in communicating and writing in English. 6. Good knowledge in communicating and writing in Bahasa Malaysia. 7. Any additional mastery of other language is a bonus. 8. Pleasant personality and good leadership skill. 9. Hardworking, honest with lead-by-example qualities.
