Reporting / Business Analyst

Job Summary The person would be part of the Data Management & Regulatory Reporting Team as a Reporting Analyst. The selected candidate will be working with the Subject Matter Expert Leads and will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing source data mapping, perform data validations on cleansing rules, testing and co-ordinate with internal team for project implementation. The candidate with Finance and Accounting background, complemented by experience in Regulatory Reporting (in particular, Bank Negara Malaysia) and good technical skills in Microsoft Excel will be preferred. There will also be a hands-on training that will be provided by leads along with the support structure to the selected candidate to build up the knowledge level required for the execution of Jobs. Primary Responsibilities To capture reporting requirements (Business Requirement Specifications), data mapping, data transformation rules which meets end users’ requirements based on Central Bank Rules and Regulation Reviews design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the software or product. Identifies appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate; parameters may include general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Conducts testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines. When a product does not perform within specifications, reports defects to programmers while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates. To be part of the Project implementation team to assist in execution and troubleshooting for performing reconciliation testing, system integration testing (SIT) and User Acceptance testing (UAT) Performs other duties as assigned. Page 2 of 2 Required Technical Skills and background Extensive knowledge of software or database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication. Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Hands on with 2 to 3 years’ experience and well versed in Financial, Regulatory Reporting and Basel reporting requirements and other related regulatory standard for reporting Analytical and able to work independently with minimum supervision A team player who is good in leadership, time management and 2 ways communication skill Willing to accept bigger responsibilities and challenge Hard working, minimum supervision self-motivated and work under pressure. Committed in upgrading of knowledge and skills Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
