1. To understand all the Compliance Risk policies, procedures, programs, and systems including risk assessment policies or guidance issued by BNM. 2. To review Company’s Compliance / Risk policies to ensure they are synchronized with BNM’s policy directives. 3. To suggest changes to the Company’s Compliance / Risk policies as and when necessary. 4. To review, screen, analyze and investigate internal suspicious transaction reports submitted by the branches as well as all email alerts / exception reports on transactions generated by Company’s remittance and money exchange systems. 5. To submit suspicious transaction reports (STR) to the Financial Intelligence & Enforcement Department (FIED) in BNM, when & where suspicions are established. 6. To conduct regular compliance inspection and reviews of branches to ensure that branch business operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and Company’s policies & procedures. 7. To provide compliance support and advice to branch operational staff. 8. To conduct customer risk assessment on a periodic basis to determine whether the customer is suspicious or not suspicious based on the monitoring of the customer’s transaction as well as profile. 9. To maintain trackers or registers for the purpose of documenting work conducted, where necessary 10. To perform data analytics to identify potential red flags and suggest methods to implement them, where relevant 11. To monitor and identify compliance gaps in business activities on an ongoing basis and remedy them in a timely manner. 12. To participate in providing requirements and testing of Compliance systems. 13. To keep abreast of the new industry trends, emerging threats and analyse the impact to the Company, thereafter, make the necessary proposals for improvement. 14. To assist in developing the content and providing AML/CFT & Compliance training programs and awareness sessions to staff. 15. Any other duties as required by the Chief Executive Officer or Head of Compliance.
