Key Responsibilities: Electrical Maintenance: 1.Perform regular inspections and maintenance of crane electrical systems (wiring, motors, control panels). 2. Assist in the repair and replacement of electrical components such as relays, fuses, and control circuits. Crane Repairs: 1. Support in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults in cranes and crane-related equipment. 2. Assist senior electricians in the repair of malfunctioning cranes and ensure equipment operates safely. Installation and Setup: 1. Help in the installation of new electrical systems or components in cranes, including wiring and electrical controls. 2. Collaborate in setting up or modifying electrical systems as per operational needs. Safety Compliance: 1. Follow safety protocols and regulations when working with electrical systems and crane machinery. 2. Ensure all electrical maintenance and repairs comply with company standards and safety requirements. Documentation: 1. Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and any electrical work conducted on cranes. 2. Report any issues, malfunctions, or hazards to the supervisor promptly. Collaboration: 1. Work closely with mechanical technicians and other team members to coordinate and resolve technical issues. 2. Assist in training and providing support to less experienced staff or apprentices when required. 5.3 Minimum Qualifications 5.3.1 Personnel to possess as minimum: a) Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or b) Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) (Electrical), or c) Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM), or d) Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR), or Sijil Rendah Pelajaran Malaysia (SRP), or Sijil Tamat Sekolah. - Higher education certificates are encouraged. 5.3.2 Proficiency in writing, speaking and reading Bahasa Malaysia and English. 5.3.3 Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. 5.3.4 Possess valid competency certificate from company or training center that specialized in offshore pedestal and jib crane fabrication, operation and maintenance. 5.3.5 Possess valid PCSB PTW certification training (encouraged). 5.3.6 Minimum two (2) years' experience (recent) working experience as a Crane Electrician in offshore pedestal and jib crane maintenance. 5.3.7 Minimum one (1) years' involvement in supervisory work in offshore pedestal and jib crane maintenance. 5.3.8 Able to read and understand offshore pedestal and jib crane electrical drawing. 5.3.9 Able to understand relevant manufacturers' technical manual related to electrical components.
