As the senior leader, the Deputy General Manager( Country Head) acts as the primary representative of BYD, ensuring the business operates smoothly and aligns with BYD’s regional and global objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to formulate annual short and long-term goals and objectives, submitting projections to corporate management for approval.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as the primary liaison with government bodies, industry regulators, and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and alignment with policies.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
- Provide regular updates and reports to BYD’s regional and headquarter on business performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Good understanding of dealership exploration and management.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share.
- Lead negotiations for major contracts and partnerships to support business growth.
- Recruits, trains, and inspires all department managers within the dealership, encompassing administrative, sales, parts, collision, and service departments.
- Supervises all dealership management and supervisory personnel, conducting formal performance evaluations of department managers regularly.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
- Establishes and evaluates monthly and annual goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with actual performance.
- Prepare and manage the country’s budget, P&L, and financial forecasting.
- Reviews all requests for training, approves those that are appropriate and consistent with the dealership's goals for professional/technical ability and advancement, and monitors their effectiveness.
- Performs additional assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry and market dynamics.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
