  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Objectives of the Position:

The APAC Procurement product team provides digital and core SAP solutions to fulfill the requirements from BASF companies globally. The Senior SAP Consultant / DevOps Engineer will act as the System/Solution Architect with advanced system knowledge and development skills, good understanding of business processes, and a strategic overview of regional and local BASF needs.

Main Tasks:

  • Address complex requirements and handle change requests/projects assigned.
  • Lead/module team member for the roll-out implementation of global and regional projects.
  • Develop core solutions and contribute to knowledge documentation.
  • Participate in concurrent projects, providing guidance on BASF business processes.
  • Provide internal training and functional knowledge development.
  • Lead a team of consultants in the entire project life cycle implementation.
  • Ensure and review project deliverables for quality.
  • Execute studies in the preliminary stage of projects.
  • Prototype/configure and test new business solutions.
  • Support formulation of complex cost estimates for solution design efforts.
  • Participate in innovation management and seek improvements.
  • Design and implement prototypes using new technologies.
  • Communicate complex contexts convincingly to stakeholders.
  • Act as a Global/Regional representative of BASF Digital community.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or comparable field.

Working Experience:

  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience with complex SAP applications; knowledge of purchasing processes and financial invoice verification is a plus.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory):

  • Strong knowledge in Material Management and integration with other modules.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and experience in intercompany processes.
  • Ability to understand ABAP coding.
  • Experience in SAP interfaces.
  • Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive and self-driven character.
  • High sense of responsibility and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to convey information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and seek solutions independently.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Must work with little supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on business priorities.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Additional):

  • Knowledge in Invoice Verification module.
  • Knowledge in ABAP/ABAP Objects and other programming languages.
  • Familiar with data conversion tools and methodologies.
  • Good knowledge in authorization objects, roles & profiles.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong Digital mindset for BASF Digitalization transformation.
