KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION:

· Develop comprehensive technical manuals focused on the mechanical systems of diesel-electric locomotives, including operation, maintenance, and repair instructions.

· Create and maintain detailed spare parts catalogues, ensuring accuracy in part numbers, descriptions, and mechanical component illustrations.

· Ensure all mechanical documentation complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.

2. TENDER BID AND CLAUSE-BY-CLAUSE COMPLIANCE:

· Manage and prepare tender submissions, including developing clause-by-clause compliance documents and detailed mechanical engineering proposals.

· Review tender specifications and ensure all mechanical requirements are accurately addressed in the compliance documentation.

· Work closely with engineering and commercial teams to provide precise technical responses in tender bids, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

· Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to gather necessary data for the preparation of tender documentation and compliance.

3. TECHNO-COMMERCIAL DOCUMENTATION:

· Develop techno-commercial documents that clearly communicate both mechanical and commercial aspects, ensuring understanding for all stakeholders.

· Support the preparation of business proposals by providing detailed technical descriptions and mechanical specifications for locomotive projects.

4. CONTENT DEVELOPMENT:

· Research and compile mechanical information from various sources, including engineering drawings, component specifications, and product data sheets.

· Ensure the accuracy and technical correctness of all mechanical content, verifying details with subject matter experts (SMEs) and mechanical engineers when required.

5. COLLABORATION:

· Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to gather relevant information and ensure mechanical documentation aligns with project objectives.

· Liaise with external suppliers and customers to clarify mechanical details and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or a related technical field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical content development, with a focus on the mechanical systems of diesel-electric locomotives or rolling stock.

· Proven experience in preparing tender bids, clause-by-clause compliance, and detailed mechanical engineering proposals.

· Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and operations in diesel-electric locomotives.

· Proficiency in technical writing tools and content management systems (CMS).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex mechanical information into clear, concise documentation.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
