DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Senior Reservoir Surveillance Engineer is responsible for overall production system from reservoir to well up to surface facilities while always maintaining safety.
- The purpose of this job is to optimize production of oil and gas at an optimum level, increasing the value of the asset on a daily basis.
- This position also acts as the main support for offshore installation operations through daily well monitoring, analysis through reservoir surveillance and providing recommendations to the offshore operators.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitors production performance and provides recommendations for optimization of production rates and reserves.
- Delivers reservoir management plan, field wide surveillance programs and monthly targets for production.
- Coordinates the company production loss management system.
- Coordinates and documents multi-discipline data acquisition needs and suggest relevant processes for execution plans.
- Organize and maintain wells and fields production data for analysis and studies.
- Coordinate with Production Technologists on all relevant surveillance matters, which include PLTs, well stimulation, water shut-off and artificial lift requirements.
- Coordinate with production operations and surface facility personnel for all logistical aspects of surveillance plans.
- Conduct regular surveillance review sessions as required with PSC partners and regulatory body.
- Contribute relevant inputs into production forecasts, WP&B, operations plan, reserves reports and annual corporate business plan activities and updates.
- Undertake data analysis and interpretations, including decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetric estimation, production forecasting, pressure transient analysis, nodal analysis to support integrated asset modelling results.
- Work closely with reservoir surveillance engineers, reservoir simulation engineers and production engineers in continuously updating and improving the reservoir, the platform network and production process descriptions. Study and understand the production behaviour to obtain good and reliable well and field optimization and forecasting models.
- Work in partnership with the production technologist and reservoir engineers from surveillance and development team, the works involves full integration of all historical production events and wells performance reviews to ensure exhaustive production analyses in maximizing hydrocarbon recovery. This will include any possible production enhancement initiative using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed solutions.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent qualification from recognized universities.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in a PSC environment.
- High competency in MBAL, Prosper, GAP software.
- Highly experienced in material balance history matching and prediction modes.
- Highly competent in performing and quality checking data analysis namely PVT, well test data and production performance.
- Experienced in all major areas of flow assurance: scale, solids transport, corrosion, emulsion, wax, asphaltene, naphthene, dual bore gas lift, unstable well behaviour, water and gas coning.
- Experienced in reservoir surveillance and offshore production engineering.
- Good knowledge of production allocation systems, OFM and Sapphire.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to deliver in a timely fashion all required work scope.
- Ability to work and communicate with different departments (studies, offshore, operations, MPM and PCSB).
