Job Summary

The position is responsible to oversee the engineering and technical aspects of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This role encompasses designing, planning, supervising, budgeting, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, adherence to specifications, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Design and Planning of preliminary solar PV systems for commercial and industrial scale projects.
  • Prepare and manage the solar project Bill of Quantity (BQ).
  • Develop technical specifications and compile relevant information required for tender submissions.
  • Plan and schedule engineering projects, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery.
  • Engage in the clarification process with clients after the company has been shortlisted for projects and support the Business Development team in client liaison and design proposals.
  • Network with suppliers during tender and proposal phases to obtain budgetary quotations.
  • Coordinate and oversee technical and engineering activities. Provide supervision, guidance, and constructive performance evaluations for team members.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department and ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepare and execute departmental and tender budgets, create timelines, and cost projections.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress and updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • Posses 5 to 8 years of experience in designing and managing large-scale solar PV projects.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Suite of products, finite element analysis, and project
  • management.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications, project planning, and environmental
  • assessment.
  • Experience in client interaction, supplier networking, and tender processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
