Job Description:

This individual will be responsible for all safety and security aspect at HQ and to ensure it is fully in compliance with all applicable statutory standards, rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will also provide consulting and implementation support relating to the topics of Safety compliance, workplace security and travel / transport security (if needed).

To successfully fill this role, the ideal candidate should maintain the good attitude, behavior, relevant skill, strong writing and communication capabilities and proficient with the requirements of government regulations and technical rules.

The candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To implement, develop and continuously improve the Safety and security policies & Procedure, to ensure compliance with local regulations and to promote a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement adequate Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) and Security program and training to employees to mitigate risks and to conduct regular inspections.
  • To conduct Risk Assessments - To identify potential hazards and develop control measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
  • Liaise with relevant department to investigate incidents by conducting thorough investigation of accidents or near-misses to identify root causes, and to ensure incidents reports are recorded and implement corrective actions.
  • To ensure OSH statistics and documentation are in place for ISO / Audit and reports submission to DOSH on accident/hazardous happened at workplace.
  • To implement and develop Safety and fire prevention plan, First Aid procedures, emergency and evacuation procedures, fire drill, natural disaster preparedness plans, crisis strategic and threat analysis relating to Safety & Security, etc.
  • To promote and foster a culture of safety and security awareness and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
  • To Implement procedures to ensure Tomei policies and guidelines are observed, relating to entry and exits of employees, suppliers, contractors, visitors and customers.
  • To develop procedure and guidelines for security inspection when entering and leaving the building, and to prevent Company’s property being removed without any authorization.
  • Liaise with local authorities in addressing, resolving and preventing criminal activities and safety issues within and around the vicinity of all Tomei Buildings/Premises.
  • Conduct safety and security meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance by respective departments.
  • To manage the outsource Security Services Agreement and ensuring the daily security operational deployment is duly implemented.

Requirements

  • Degree with minimum 5-6 years in OSH and Security managing experience.
  • Proficient in Safety and Security related legislation and practices.
  • Experience in implementing effective strategies and procedure relating to Safety and Security topics.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely to the management team/department PIC.
  • Ability to identify problem and recommend solutions, adept problem-solving skill and reliable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to lead/guide security team and Safety Committee.
  • Good English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1.00 - RM1.10 per month
